The New Lab

Hm, this new lab is awfully yellow, and the desks are arranged in a kind of delta-wing formation, and it's crap.

The 9th floor lab was our home, it was big and nice and there's proper air flow up there, plus the ambience is a pleasing greyish blue. What they've done is taken that away, moved us down a whole floor given us a smaller room and painted it an attractive bright colour to dupe us into loving it. I also feel slightly ill in here, as if the air has the texture of apple.

Although actually it's not terrible; with some posters up here it could be okay.

Megan and O'Brien have just realized that the Delta-Wing Formation is there to stop people wandering around the desks, which was the big thing before.

I feel sorry for the first years who won't get to experience the wonderous lab. It's such a shame. First years, just imagine something really, really cool; it was probably cooler than that.

As O'Brien has just said "We're back! And it's worse!"

Wow, having a similar issue myself as it happens, this year they've decided we needed new desks, and rather than the previous 'gentle-on-the-tired-early-morning-eyes' beige, they've gone with some near luminous primary colours, reminiscent of primary school, where we were forced to sit at 'bwrdd melyn, bwrdd glas a bwrdd coch.'
I'm not sure if it's supposed to make us more cheery or more awake, but it's not really doing either, it's just making my brain ache.
You have my sympathy...
