All hail Home of the Underdogs, their Scratchware Manifesto is a work of genius, insofar as it has realized everything that's wrong with the games industry and laid it out for us, and says with a much better vocabulary than mine what I have been raving about the whole time.
If you're a comrade GAD student reading this especially, please do take a look. This is the future we have to start thinking about. I just hope the creative developer gets the break he needs soon.
We'll certainly get opportunities to work on our own projects in the future. Some of us even are right now, so let's see if we can't change this hulking industry one way or another. :)
